OK, for some, it's probably a gastronomic 'faux pas' to eat a take-away Kebab in France, but after a hard day's skiing, I just wanted to save money, not get dressed, stay in with a kebab and beer. Luckily, this place was opposite my hotel.
A chip-sandwich is not exactly the "BEST FOOD" in Chamonix, but if you are skiing in Le Tour, Chamonix, then I recommend you do as I did - I took a fresh baguette in my backpack, then stuffed it with fresh chips and lots of ketchup and mustard. Treat.
The Chamonix mountain tram/train is a must-do attraction. Built in 1905, the tram (known as 'Little Red Cog') climbs 1km to give you stunning views throughout. When I used it I was too late for the crystal museum at the top so go early if you can.
